Pre-Conference Session for Executives — Risk Management

Prerequisite: NPO Management Experience
Field of Study: Specialized Knowledge and Applications
Time: Monday, July 12, 2:30-5:00 pm
Trainers: Steve Lipton & Multiple Trainers

Risk - we are forced to deal with it every day. It comes in the form of people's behavior, financial viability, resource security, fraud, organization growth, program management, etc. The list is endless.

In this past year, many of our programs saw tremendous growth through ARRA funding. At the same time, some programs stayed flat or even declined even though there was increased demand for the services provided. The demands of both program growth and a weak economy presented unique challenges that inflicted a great deal of pressure on our organizations. Some organizations fell victim to unmanaged risk through fraud, unproductive behaviors, inappropriate spending, and more. Others worked hard to get in front of the risks and manage them before they became an issue.

The key to success is leadership that understands risks and acts to actively manage those risks before they damage the organization. This year, our Pre-Conference for Executives will bring together the collective knowledge of organization leaders and the Wipfli team to discuss the risks we are facing and ways to effectively manage those risks before they become a problem.

Through a survey prior to the session we will gain an understanding of the concerns and ideas you have and use that information to guide interactive discussion with the session participants. Throughout the session, the Wipfli team will be actively involved facilitating and adding best practices to the discussion points. At the end of the session, you will have a better understanding of what you need to do to get in front of risk based on what your peers are doing today and best practices provided by the Wipfli team.

Note: This session is limited to 100 executives for an additional $50 per person registration fee.
This session is worth 3.00 CPE credits.
